Hide from public search
Many people online want to hide them from facebook search. It's a very good practice to be far away from the hackers online. The following steps will allow you to hide your facebook profile from search. Sign in to your Facebook Account Click on the Arrow (beside HOME) ? Account Settings

- Select "Security" tab and click on "Deactive Your Account".
- Go to "How You Connect" section and a popup will come up.
- Now, check your option beside "who can look you up using the email address or phone number you provided?" section. Now Select anyone of the options and Save Settings.
Note: You have 3 options like you can let you to come on search only for your "friends", "friends of friends" and "everyone". If you select Friend option in this section, your profile will not be visible when an unknown person searches in facebook. Even you will be hide from the other search engines searches like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc.
Hide your profile from Specific person
This option will allow you to block some specific person you want. Follow the following options to block people from your facebook account.
- First of all Login to Facebook
- Click on the Arrow (beside HOME) ? Go to Privacy Settings & Select Manage Blocking in the sector of Blocked and Apps Section.
- Now, in the Block User Section write the name or email address of the users you want to block from Facebook friend list. Next Click on Block.
Hide Your Facebook Profile when signed out
This Facebook privacy option will give you some special offer. Like: when you will sign out from your facebook account your facebook profile will be hidden from everyone of facebook. But, when you are back again in facebook you will see your facebook account as usual. Follow the following steps to active this privacy.
- Sign in to your Facebook Account
- Click on the Arrow (beside HOME) → Go to Account Settings
- Select Security tab and click on Deactivate Your Account.
- Choose This is Temporarily, I will be back and click on Confirm
- Enter your Facebook password to Confirm the action & click on De-active Now.
